Hubby and I were having our Appalachian delicacy which we enjoy on Mondays. This one tradition keeps us anchored to our childhood homes, bare feet and all!  Cornbread and beans, fried potatoes with onions and  cucumbers in ice water. Nothing better!

The phone rang as we were finishing our supper. And we gave time to see who was calling...Wow!

He introduced himself and that was all I needed to have a conversation. My cousin ,Allen from North Carolina,  began to share....

He had questions from days long ago and what he did not know was that I had written my memoir and told him my books could be bought from my website and that pitch ignited curiosity and got the ball rolling.

and discussions by way of e mail., I am asking his sister, Paula to insert information about the next steps that followed our dialogue all the way to Floyd, VA yesterday

Yesterday, Wednesday July 17th from the library conference room peals rang out..

What a glorious, God honoring family event.  We were showered with God's love as we shared

memories from our childhood and youthful days.

To my beautiful Cousin Paula, we want to thank you for putting this meeting together and we greatly enjoyed reminiscing and sharing photos and comments from the family ties that we share. A beautiful day!

Love and blessings from the Appalachian Mountains
